The package box includes a unit of smart video doorbell J1 (Model Bell J1-T, FCC ID: 2AUSP-BELL), and a unit of wireless chime receiver (model Chime 5), a box of accessories and the Quick guide.

The wireless chime receiver communicates with smart doorbell J1 through 433MHz radio frequency. It has a male USB port which can be plugged in a cellphone charger or USB port of desktops/laptops. The mini size chime receiver supports 4 different ring tones and max. 85dB volume. Users are able to tweak the settings through smartphone app.

In open space, the communication distance can be 50 meters between the doorbell camera and the chime receiver, and it is around 15-20 meters If there are some obstacles. The camera employs a 1.7mm F1.2 lens that covers nearly 140 degree angle.  A PIR motion sensor is below the camera, the PIR motion sensor is used to detect human movement; when a visitor is approaching your door, the motion detection will be triggered and the camera  can start to record video on its memory card and send instant push notifications to inform users. 

It comes with a mount bracket, the camera body is fixed on the bracket firmly and secured with a special screw. Users can use either screws or double-sided tape to install the bracket. The bracket provide additional protection for the camera, it helps camera to avoid interferences caused by direct sun light, snow, rain drops, dust.

Bell J1 employs 2-megapixel CMOS image sensor (SmartSens SC2232) and ultra low power consumption SoC (Hi3518EV200) hardware design, it has embedded with Huawei LiteOS which supports fast system bootup.

Besides wire-free installation, the doorbell has power input design, it can also work with AC/DC power adapter.

Two batteries are pre-installed into the doorbell. If you have taken out the batteries, please note the electrodes when put them back. Do put the battery in right direction according to the marks. There is no need to take them out for recharging purpose. There is a microUSB port on the buttom of doorbell and it is designed for battery recharging. 

It includes two pieces of 18650 rechargeable battery. The model is CMICR18650F9, specification is 3.6V 3350mAH, maximum current 4.8A, internal resistance 0.048 Ohm, voltage range 2.5V - 4.2V, working temperature -10 - 50 Celsius degree.

On the upper area of the battery chamber, you can find the microSD card slot, according to the specification, it supports a memory card up to 128GB. It is okay to use a memory card which its capacity below this threshold. Usually users will insert a 32GB or 64GB TF card. When the card is full, the camera will automatically erase the oldest video clips to keep recording.

Microphone is located on one side of the camera. There is a microUSB port on the bottom of camera. Users can easily get the camera charged by connecting to a cellphone charger or a computer.

The doorbell button on camera has LED backlights, when it's under setup mode, the LED will keep flashing in red color. When it's pressed by a visitor, the LED will keep flashing in blue color.
